Live shows and touring from 5 June onwards
Saturday 5 June marked the long-awaited re-opening of theatres in the Netherlands. As part of the ‘Testen voor Toegang’-pilot, some festivals such as SPRING Performing Arts Festival had a headstart. The Holland Festival also opened its doors at several sites as a test event prior to the remainder of the field. With the loosening of the restrictions it places the festival in the unique situation that for some shows visitors still need a negative antigen test while for others they don’t. It is a direct effect of the number of seats and policies applied within the venues hosting these performances.
In any ‘normal’ season, for many theatres the end of the season would already be in sight by now. However, now some remain open to allow performing arts companies to finally present their shows, many of which have been postponed more than once. The full Julidans programme will be online on 10 June.
